Diaspora Forum: Making sense of 'Armenian-ness' in a globalised world
The Armenian Institute is hosting an online discussion on June 17 featuring a diverse panel of British, Cypriot, Czech, Iranian and Syrian young Armenians on what 'Armenian-ness' means to them today.
Many of today's young Armenians are third or fourth generation descendants of the Armenian Genocide survivors while others don't share the same family history. As the world has become more globalised and economic opportunities allow us to migrate more easily, our understanding of the earlier notions of 'Armenian Diaspora' are also changing. Or are they?
Join us for an engaging and thought-provoking discussion with our panellists as they share their thoughts on these issues and how their own family stories shape their understanding of Armenian identity."
