An active contributor to cultural life in Turkey since 1993, Aras Publishing aims to introduce Armenian literature, culture, history to the people of Turkey and bring people together with the help of arts and culture. To date, the respected publishing house published over 250 books both in Western Armenian and in Turkish. In 2019, bilingual children's books publisher Hippo was founded under the roof of Aras to make contemporary children's literature available for both Armenian and Turkish children. In 2019 Aras also opened Yesayan Room. Named after the writer Zabel Yesayan, Yesayan Room is defined as “a place for art and thought, a room open for discussion, dialogue and collaboration; an island ‘of its own’ but not ‘on its own’”. With a capacity of fifty people, Yesayan Room is designed as a multi-purpose venue, to hold a variety of events: from talks to panels, recitals, film screenings, workshops, and gatherings.

Lora Sari, an editor at Aras Publishing in Istanbul, will be presenting the female authors, women's writings, and history books on Armenian feminists and feminism published by ArasIn addition to this work, Lora is the English-Turkish translator and publishing director at Hippo books, the bilingual children’s branch of Aras, and also translated AI’s own Who Are the Armenians?, published by Aras.  Kim Bu Ermeniler? has some changes from the original English version as well as additional pages created in consultation with Lora who wanted to ensure that the book’s contents, as well as the language, really spoke to its readers.
