Christopher J. Walker
The Archives of the Armenian Institute contain papers, photographs, and memorabilia from prominent figures such as Christopher J. Walker. Author of Armenia: Survival of a Nation, Walker was the first historian to publish an accessible, comprehensive and carefully researched book in English on the history of Armenians. His archive includes his notes and correspondence, research notes, articles, newspaper cuttings and his own publications. Particularly significant: his work on the Minority Rights Group Report on Armenia (1975).
Mischa Kudian
The Archives of the Armenian Institute contain papers, photographs, and memorabilia from prominent figures such as Mischa Kudian. Armenian Institute has obtained Mischa Kudian’s imprint Mashtots Press and now holds drafts and proofs of translations of his many books, drafts of unpublished works as well as other material related to Armenian poetry and to his publishing. The archive also includes photographs and material about his wife, the musician Elena Kudian.
David Miller
The Archives of the Armenian Institute contain papers, photographs, and memorabilia from prominent figures such as David Miller, who was the British Ambassador to Armenia (1995-1997). His archives consist mainly on correspondence and research papers. Particularly significant are papers relating to the Armenian genocide, including correspondence with Jack Straw and Geoffrey Robinson, QC.
George S. Kurkjian
The Archives of the Armenian Institute contain papers, photographs, and memorabilia from prominent figures such as George S. Kurkjian who was a community leader. The collection includes correspondence, papers, photographs dated c. 1950 – 2000. Particularly significant: photographs of cultural and ecclesiastic life in Soviet Armenia. In 2021, St. Sarkis Church installed the George and John Kurkjian Memorial ‘Khachkar’ in it’s yard.
Joan George
The Archives of the Armenian Institute contain papers, photographs, and memorabilia from prominent figures such as Joan George who was the author of two books on Armenians in Britain, the collection includes newspaper cuttings, correspondence, drafts and offprints of her research on the Armenian communities of Manchester and London.
Harry Koudakjian
